7 Days of Aesthetic Outfits: What I Wore This Week

I’m Lucy, a 22-year-old girl living in the heart of New York City. The weather has finally turned dreamy, and I’ve been having so much fun styling my aesthetic outfits all week long. Mid-May is that sweet spot between spring and summer here in the city—sunny afternoons, breezy evenings, and endless inspiration from the streets of SoHo to Central Park.

Monday: Clean Girl Minimalism

I started the week with a clean girl aesthetic: slicked-back bun, gold hoops, white wide-leg trousers, and a fitted beige tank. Add a matcha in hand and a structured tote, and suddenly Monday felt less gloomy. This is one of those aesthetic outfits that always makes me feel polished.

Tuesday: Soft Girl Vibes in Central Park

The cherry blossoms are still blooming in certain corners of the park, so I went full soft girl mode—pink gingham mini dress, white frilly socks, and platform sneakers. I threw on a pastel cardigan in case the wind picked up. Aesthetic outfits like this make NYC spring days magical.

Wednesday: Dark Academia Coffee Run

Midweek slump? Not for me. I leaned into my moody side with a dark academia outfit: plaid midi skirt, brown knit vest over a white blouse, and chunky loafers. I grabbed an oat latte from my fave West Village café and felt like the main character.

Thursday: Y2K Throwback Moment

I was feeling nostalgic, so I rocked a Y2K aesthetic with low-rise jeans, a butterfly crop top, and tinted sunglasses. I added my vintage Coach baguette bag for a perfect finishing touch. These aesthetic outfits always get compliments on the subway!

Friday: Chill Streetwear Energy

For Friday errands and iced coffee walks, I opted for oversized denim, a graphic tee, chunky sneakers, and a crossbody fanny pack. With a claw clip and minimal makeup, I felt effortlessly cool. Aesthetic outfits like this give me that downtown energy I love.

Saturday: Cottagecore Dream Day

Yes, please. I paired a denim skirt with a white off-the-shoulder top, boots, and a tan cowboy hat. It’s giving coastal cowgirl meets Manhattan girl. Of all the aesthetic outfits this week, this one might’ve been my fave.
